AYM combines deep tissue massage with coordinated breath-work and yoga stretching. Similar to Thai massage, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is performed on a mat allowing for a full range of stretching. In addition; the deep tissue massage dissolves physical tension, while the assisted stretches and breath exercises realign the body and stimulate the natural flow of energy.
Through synchronised breathing, the receiver is led progressively deeper into assisted yoga stretches that help correct postural imbalances and restore harmony to the subtle energies of the body.
These techniques incorporate the use of the hands and feet as tools for massage. The utilisation of the feet allows for deeper and more thorough pressure through long and graceful strokes.
This unique comprehensive approach to the body dissolves physical and emotional blocks, helps eliminate toxins, promotes correct posture, improves respiratory patterns, enhances energy levels, and leaves the receiver with a profound sense of well being.
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage was developed by Master Kusum Modak of Pune, India, who has tirelessly dedicated her life to creating and spreading this work. She combined her knowledge of Traditional Ayurvedic Massage learned from her teacher and ayurvedic massage guru Master Lamaye Maharaj with Iyengar Yoga inspired assisted asana learned directly from BKS Iyengar himself to create her own unique approach to Ayurvedic massage.

Counselling and Clinical Hypnotherapy is a partnership based on co-operation between therapist and client to achieve the changes you want. In general, hypnotherapy is effective in a few sessions, with most clients seeing solid change towards their goals with between 2-5 sessions (depending on the issue/s).
Counselling sessions are 60 minutes long and after an initial consultation I recommend my clients to commit to at least 6 sessions for long lasting results. I apply the following techniques during the session (depending on the individual's needs):
-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) A relatively short-term form of therapy based on the concept that the way we think about things affects how we feel emotionally.
-Person-centered therapy (PCT) is also known as person-centered psychotherapy, person-centered counseling, client-centered therapy and Rogerian psychotherapy. PCT is a form of talk-psychotherapy developed by psychologist Carl Rogers in the 1940s and 1950s.
-Psychodynamic counselling tends to be a longer-term approach which involves deep exploration of self. It is suitable for clients who wish to explore their inner-selves at depth, or who have difficulties in their lives and relationships with no obvious cause.
Before the session
It's best not to eat a large meal or drink strong coffee or alcohol before your session. We also advise you to wear comfortable clothing and, if you wear contact lenses, to be ready to remove them for the session.

In the session
Allow an hour and a half for your first session, as we will spend some time finding out about you and the issue/s you want to deal with. We'll focus briefly on the history of this issue, what you've a tried previously, what you've notice triggers or improves the condition, and what you'd like to achieve and how you would know you'd achieved it. We'll also agree how many sessions you're likely to need to achieve your goals.
I'll explain hypnosis and hypnotherapy in more detail, and answer any queries you may have about the process. And then, it's time to enjoy some well deserved calm and relaxation.
You'll likely feel mentally and physically calm, with a relaxed awareness of everything that's happening. You should feel relaxed and positive after your session, and start to become aware of a growing confidence and calmness in the days and nights to come.
In follow up sessions, we'll discuss progress and any additional issues, and go into trance to carry on making the changes you want.
